This Privacy Policy describes how Don Johnson, doing business as DJ AI Business Consultant ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TradesBrain text-message (SMS) service operated on behalf of independent trade contractors (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Phone number. The mobile number you text from, used to reply to you and to identify your request.
- Message content. The text you send, including your answers to our intake questions (type of work, service address or neighborhood, preferred timing, and job details).
- Booking details. The name, preferred appointment time, and notes you enter on the booking page.
- Technical data. Message timestamps, delivery status, and basic web-server logs for the booking page.
How we use it
- To respond to your service request, prepare a draft estimate, and schedule an appointment with the contractor.
- To relay messages between you and the contractor you contacted.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Draft estimates are generated with the assistance of an automated system using the answers you provide and the contractor's pricing information. Estimates are drafts only and are confirmed by the contractor before any work begins.
SMS consent and opt-out
You consent to receive text messages from the Service by sending the first text message to a contractor's published business number. Messages are conversational and related to your request; we do not send marketing or promotional texts. Message frequency varies by conversation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to end messaging, or HELP for assistance.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your information is shared only with: (a) the contractor whose number you texted, so they can perform the requested work; (b) service providers that operate the Service on our behalf, including Twilio (message delivery), our hosting provider, and our AI processing provider, each bound to use the data only to provide the Service; and (c) authorities when required by law.
Retention and security
Messages and job records are retained for as long as needed to complete the work and for the contractor's business records, and are protected by access controls and encryption in transit. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below; we will honor the request unless a legal obligation requires retention.
Your choices
Reply STOP to end texts. Contact us to access, correct, or delete your information.
Children
The Service is intended for adults arranging home or commercial services and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
